„Evolution“ is the fourth Cd of this Austrian fourpiece and with this album they definitely delivered 
the best one so far. Fat death/doom/trash metal with a lot of decent catchy melodies and yet still 
aggressive. The intense heavy grunt sounds are controlled, powerful and heavy. The riffs go from slow 
and heavy to short, sharp thrash riffs.
The keyboards are laying like a blanket over the songs and give them a movie- kind of character. The 
production is clear and open, but to my opinion a little bit to sharp. A more compact sound like Cds 
from Sentenced and Samael would do DARKSIDE some more good.
The band showed during the Moonspell tour that they are more than ready for the big audience. An extra 
promotional push and a next Cd could provide a breakthrough. Listening is recommended.
