From the two back releases I still remember DARKSIDE as an average gothic-death act with trashy guitars. 
They didn't change their style very much indeed, but the quality a lot, because this Austrian band 
sounds much more worked out this year. They still can not belong to the top-acts in this genre, but 
their unique mix of rough vocals, thrashy guitars and the appropriate use of keyboards does capture 
quite a lot of interest. With the title song and songs like „Traces Of Red“ , they have good tracks in 
their program, all kind of metal fans will find an approach to this music. The fact, that the are indeed 
influenced by VOIVOD makes them even more sypathetic to me. Here and there I would like a little more 
self-sounding parts and the production could use a more fat guitar sound (?), good ideas and the 
successful search for an own identity are bonuspoints, that can be booked on the positive side of 
things. You should check it out !
