for the musicians themselves. After the well-received „Shadowfields“ album, DARKSIDE was to show a 
consequent progression as far as songwriting and team spirit is concerned. „Evolution“ evocates all 
positive icons of extreme metal to get massive riffs as well as decent melodies – „The gloaming – or 
multitimbral arrangements –(Spiritual Galleries, Traces of Red). A kind of pessimistic, dark atmosphere 
is spread throughout all the songs suiting perfectly to the lyrics, where you can watch the world 
through black glasses. Stylistic arranged keyboard sequences, raging vocals and a certain kind of groove 
could be called directors of this drama. The very transparent sound is the cover for an album, which 
should provide a portion of adrenalin for friends of aggressive music. This Cd means death metal out of 
the norms by all means. DARKSIDE definitely stands for an evolution of the creative kind.
